What could each one pay you?

An illustration, not a forecast: a steady monthly return on the funded account, at each firm's starting split, against the fee for its cheapest account at that size. Most traders do not pass, and returns are rarely steady.

Maven vs The5ers questions

Which is cheaper, Maven or The5ers?

At $100K, Maven's cheapest account is $299 (Standard 3-Step) and The5ers's is $95 (Bootcamp), at list price before discounts. Price alone does not decide which is easier to pass: compare the targets and loss limits in the table above.

Which pays a higher profit split?

The5ers advertises the higher maximum split: 100% against 90%. The starting split is often lower and rises with payouts or an add-on.

Which firm has been operating longer?

The5ers was founded first, in 2016. Maven started in 2022.

Can traders in the United States use Maven or The5ers?

Maven: yes. The5ers: yes. Both firms publish a list of restricted countries, linked from their profile pages here.

Do Maven and The5ers allow news trading?

Maven: allowed with limits (On Standard 1-, 2- and 3-step accounts, trades on affected instruments may not be opened or closed from 2 minutes before to 2 minutes after red-folder releases. This is a breach in the challenge, and profits are excluded on the funded account. Omo funded accounts cap news profit at 0.5% per event. Instant, Instant Mini and Buy Now Pay Later accounts have no news restriction). The5ers: allowed with limits (On High Stakes and the Summer Plan, opening or closing orders from 2 minutes before to 2 minutes after high-impact news is prohibited and profits from that window are removed; holding trades through news is allowed. Growth and Bootcamp allow news trading but ban bracketing strategies).
