What the rules mean in practice
- To pass, grow the $10K account by $800 (8%) without breaking a loss limit.
- On any single day you can lose up to $300 (3%). Check Maven's rules for whether that is measured from the day's starting balance or equity, because open trades count.
- The account fails if you lose $500 (5%). This is equity trailing drawdown: the loss limit rises with your highest equity, including open profit, so it follows unrealised gains too.
- Consistency rule: None
- At a 80% split, you need about 0.46% return on the funded account to earn back the $37 fee.
- The 5% maximum loss trails the highest running equity, including floating profit.
- The challenge and the funded account use the same loss limits.
