Frequently asked questions

Are the calculator results exact?

They are as exact as the numbers you enter. Real fills add spread, commission and slippage, and some firms measure loss limits on equity rather than balance, so leave a margin below any limit the tools show.

Does the drawdown tool cover every firm’s rules?

It covers the two common shapes: a static limit that never moves, and a trailing limit that follows your highest balance until it reaches the starting balance and then stops. A few firms trail on equity, reset the daily limit at a different time or use the higher of balance and equity. Each challenge page on this site states which type a firm uses.

What does the break-even figure mean?

It is the profit you need to make on a funded account, after the firm takes its share, to earn back what you paid for the challenge. PropFirmly uses the same formula in its challenge tables, so the figure here matches the one shown next to each account.

Is anything I type saved or sent?

No. The calculations run in your browser and nothing is stored or sent to us.
