Overview

Alpha Capital Group Limited is a UK company that launched its evaluation programme in November 2021 and describes itself as London-based. It sells the 1-step Alpha One (6%, 10% and 12% variants), the 2-step Alpha Pro (6%, 8% and 10% variants), the 2-step Alpha Swing for traders who hold through news and weekends, and the instant-qualified Alpha Direct. Trading runs on MT5, cTrader, DX Trade and TradeLocker through ACG Markets, a broker in the wider Alpha group. Qualified accounts are capped at $400K per household, and the standard performance split is 80%.

  • News trading

    Free during evaluations; on qualified Pro, One and Direct accounts no trades may be opened or closed on affected instruments 5 minutes either side of listed news, and Swing trades opened within 2 minutes of news must last over 2 minutes.

  • Expert advisors

    Allowed with limits

    Only pre-approved trade-management and risk tools on MT5; fully automated trading EAs are prohibited, and EAs are unavailable on cTrader, DX Trade, TradeLocker, swap-free and Alpha Direct accounts.

  • Copy trading

    Allowed only from a master account the trader owns, after sending account details to support; not possible on cTrader, DX Trade or TradeLocker.

Rules to read before you buy

  • Qualified accounts bought after 21 July 2026 are closed if open loss on one asset reaches 3% (under $50K), 2% ($50K and above) or 1% (Alpha Direct).
  • Average trade duration must exceed 2 minutes, and at least half of profits must come from trades held longer than 2 minutes.
  • Maximum lot exposure scales with account size, e.g. 40 lots on a $100K Pro or One account.
  • Qualified allocation is capped at $400K per household and $300K per strategy, where a strategy is defined by the traded asset.
  • Prohibited: latency or arbitrage trading, HFT, group trading or signal following, reverse hedging and position spamming.
  • Qualified accounts with high-risk behaviour can be moved to a Focused Trader Group with lower leverage and a 1% per-position risk cap.

Inactivity: Accounts at every stage are closed after 30 consecutive calendar days without trading.

How the drawdown works

Balance trailing (Alpha One 6%, Alpha One 10%, Alpha One 12%, Alpha Direct)
The loss limit rises with your closed balance as you make profit, so it follows your gains.
Static (Alpha Pro 6%, Alpha Pro 8%, Alpha Pro 10%, Alpha Swing)
The loss limit is fixed at a set distance below your starting balance and never moves.

Scaling plan

Alpha Pro and Alpha Swing accounts can be scaled by 10% of the initial balance each time a 10% gain is reached, up to $2 million in total scaled capital.

  • The 10% gain must be in the account when scaling is requested, and profits are withdrawn at the same time.
  • From the second scale-up the maximum lot size rises by 10%.
  • A scaled account needs at least 5 trading days before its first performance fee.
  • Alpha One and Alpha Direct are not listed as eligible.
