What the rules mean in practice

  • To pass, grow the $10K account by $600 (6%) without breaking a loss limit.
  • On any single day you can lose up to $300 (3%). Check Alpha Capital's rules for whether that is measured from the day's starting balance or equity, because open trades count.
  • The account fails if you lose $400 (4%). This is balance trailing drawdown: the loss limit rises with your closed balance as you make profit, so it follows your gains.
  • Consistency rule: 40% best-day rule on the qualified account for on-demand payouts
  • At a 80% split, you need about 0.84% return on the funded account to earn back the $67 fee.
  • Payouts: on demand (40% best-day rule and 2% minimum profit)
  • The 4% maximum loss trails the highest balance reached and stops at the starting balance.
  • Daily loss is 3% during the evaluation and 4% on the qualified account, measured from the higher of start-of-day balance or equity.
  • The 90% split is a paid add-on (about 10% of the plan price).

This is our reading of Alpha Capital's published rules. The firm's own terms always take priority. See the full Alpha Capital rules.
