What the rules mean in practice
- To pass, grow the $50K account by $6,000 (12%) without breaking a loss limit.
- On any single day you can lose up to $2,500 (5%). Check Alpha Capital's rules for whether that is measured from the day's starting balance or equity, because open trades count.
- The account fails if you lose $4,000 (8%). This is balance trailing drawdown: the loss limit rises with your closed balance as you make profit, so it follows your gains.
- Consistency rule: 40% best-day rule on the qualified account for on-demand payouts
- At a 80% split, you need about 0.87% return on the funded account to earn back the $347 fee.
- Payouts: on demand (40% best-day rule and 2% minimum profit)
- Offered up to $100K only.
- The 8% maximum loss trails the highest balance reached and stops at the starting balance.
This is our reading of Alpha Capital's published rules. The firm's own terms always take priority. See the full Alpha Capital rules.
