What the rules mean in practice
- There is no evaluation. You trade a funded $50K account from day one, so the loss limits are the only rules between you and a payout.
- On any single day you can lose up to $1,500 (3%). Check FTMO's rules for whether that is measured from the day's starting balance or equity, because open trades count.
- The account fails if you lose $5,000 (10%). This is balance trailing drawdown: the loss limit rises with your closed balance as you make profit, so it follows your gains.
- Consistency rule: Best day may not exceed 30% of total profit to be eligible for a reward
- At a 90% split, you need about 3.6% return on the funded account to earn back the €1,499 fee.
- Payouts: first reward can be requested from the 14th day after the first trade.
- Fees are stated in EUR. Sizes here are the USD tiers; the same fee buys the matching EUR tier (€4K, €8K, €20K, €40K and €80K).
- The 10% maximum loss trails the highest closed balance in real time (floating profit does not move it) and never decreases. It does not reset after a reward withdrawal.
- Only one Instant Account (including the FTMO Account that follows it) can be held at a time.
- FTMO Identity verification must be approved before the first reward is processed.
- Leverage is up to 1:100 and lower on indices, metals and crypto. Standard-account news and weekend restrictions apply.
- The Scaling Plan does not apply to Instant Accounts.
