What the rules mean in practice

  • There are 2 phases. Phase 1 needs $800 profit (8%); Phase 2 needs $500 profit (5%). The loss limits apply in every phase.
  • On any single day you can lose up to $400 (4%). Check AquaFunded's rules for whether that is measured from the day's starting balance or equity, because open trades count.
  • The account fails if you lose $1,200 (12%). This is static drawdown: the loss limit is fixed at a set distance below your starting balance and never moves.
  • Consistency rule: None
  • At a 90% split, you need about 0.6% return on the funded account to earn back the $53.85 fee.
  • Payouts: every 14 days (every 7 days with a paid add-on)
  • Rules were updated on 22 October 2026. Accounts bought before then have a 10% maximum loss.
  • On the funded account, a floating loss of 1% is a WaveStop strike: the first cuts the split to 50%, the second to 25%, and the third ends the account.

This is our reading of AquaFunded's published rules. The firm's own terms always take priority. See the full AquaFunded rules.
