What the rules mean in practice
- There is no evaluation. You trade a funded $400K account from day one, so the loss limits are the only rules between you and a payout.
- On any single day you can lose up to $12,000 (3%). Check Goat Funded Trader's rules for whether that is measured from the day's starting balance or equity, because open trades count.
- The account fails if you lose $20,000 (5%). This is intraday trailing drawdown: the loss limit follows your highest intraday equity in real time, including open profit that you later give back.
- Consistency rule: Best day must be no more than 15% of profit in the payout period
- At a 90% split, you need about 0.65% return on the funded account to earn back the $2,330 fee.
- Payouts: every 14 days after 6 profitable days and within the 15% consistency rule.
- The 5% maximum loss trails the highest balance or equity during the day until it reaches the starting balance, and resets after each payout.
- A floating loss of 1% of the balance on open trades closes the account.
- The first two payouts on $5K accounts bought from 6 October 2026 are capped at 4% of the initial balance.
- Leverage is 1:50 on forex and 1:10 on indices and commodities.
