What the rules mean in practice
- To pass, grow the $50K account by $1,500 (3%) without breaking a loss limit.
- On any single day you can lose up to $1,500 (3%). Check Goat Funded Trader's rules for whether that is measured from the day's starting balance or equity, because open trades count.
- The account fails if you lose $2,500 (5%). This is intraday trailing drawdown: the loss limit follows your highest intraday equity in real time, including open profit that you later give back.
- Consistency rule: Funded only: best day must be no more than 15% of profit in the payout period
- At a 80% split, you need about 0.97% return on the funded account to earn back the $387 fee.
- Payouts: every 14 days after 5 profitable days in the period and within the 15% consistency rule.
- Sold only on two weekends a month, chosen at random.
- The 5% maximum loss trails the highest balance or equity as soon as a new high is reached.
- A combined floating loss of 2% of the initial balance on open trades closes the account.
- An on-demand first reward add-on is available; the fee is refunded with the fourth payout.
