What the rules mean in practice
- To pass, grow the $25K account by $2,500 (10%) without breaking a loss limit.
- On any single day you can lose up to $1,000 (4%). Check Blue Guardian's rules for whether that is measured from the day's starting balance or equity, because open trades count.
- The account fails if you lose $1,500 (6%). This is balance trailing drawdown: the loss limit rises with your closed balance as you make profit, so it follows your gains.
- Consistency rule: Best day must be under 50% of total profit, in both the evaluation and the funded account
- At a 85% split, you need about 0.37% return on the funded account to earn back the $78.66 fee.
- The 6% maximum loss trails the highest closed balance and stops at the starting balance after a 6% gain, with a 1% withdrawal buffer from then on.
- Guardian Shield does not apply to Nano accounts.
- A paid add-on at checkout raises the profit split to 100%.
